Research Status

My research interests include natural language understanding and computational linguistics, with emphasis in corpus linguistics, lexical semantics, language resource development, and machine learning. I have worked on the exploration of some fundamental natural language processing techniques for the Chinese language, including morphological analysis, syntactic analysis, semantic analysis and knowledge acquisition, and the development of corresponding large-scale language resources, including a Chinese treebank (TCT) with 1,000,000 words and an event-annotated knowledge base with about 700 event verbs and 100,000 annotated sentences. Now my research are focusing on the discourse and conversation analysis.
