Welcome from the Head of Department
Founded in 1958, the Department of Computer Science and
Technology of Tsinghua University has been known for its significant
contributions and key achievements in the history of the development of
our nation's computer industry. After more than 40 years of endeavor,
she has grown to be the strongest and most influential one among its
counterparts in other universities in the nation, playing an
ever-important role in the development of China's information technology
as well as its national economy.
Nowadays, we should continue to try our best in teaching
and research. On teaching aspect, we are providing a series of new
courses and better research environments to meet the needs of our
students. On researching aspect, we have provided plenty of
opportunities for graduates to do joint research work with oversea
companies and universities, which build a solid base for high-qualified
research. Moreover, our department has attracted a number of excellent
oversea and native scholars with Ph.D degrees to join us, which
contributes to a high-qualified faculty team.
The Department of Computer Science and Technology will
continue to make our efforts to construct a top-ranking department in
the world. Let us work hard together to realize our common ideal!
